미국에서 만난 인도인 대디와 래디

 

<미국에서 만난 인도인 대디 72세>

 

미국 켄터키에 아들이 살고 있습니다. My son's family live in Kentucky.

퇴직하여 3개월 머무르고 있는데, I was retired and stay here for three month.

미국의 생활은 말 그대로 조용한 천국이나 다름이 없습니다. Have you ever been to America? American life is heaven.

먹을 것 풍부하고, 조용하고, 질서 잘 지키고, Many food, Happy life. The consideration for each other. all is good..

스트레스 받을 일이 없는 미국 생활입니다. All American life is happy. I didn't feel stress.

그러나 장기간 미국에 머물게 되면 겪게 되는 일은 Have you ever met to foreigner?

누군가와 소통할 수 있는 친구가 필요 하다는 것입니다. When long stay in the United States we need a friend.

 

 

어느 날 one day.

말벗을 찾기위해 동네를 돌아 다니다가 I walk around the town.

인도인 대디와 래디가 산책하는 것을 보았습니다. I meet two Indians. their name is daddy and raddy.

쉽지 않은 일이지만 Make my foreign friend is not easy.

그들에게 말을 짧은 영어로 말을 걸어보았습니다. I speaked for Indians.

영어를 못한다고 깜짝 놀래지만 더듬더듬 단어로나마 조금씩 소통이 되었습니다. They didn't speak English well to me.

그들의 나이와 가족 사항, 체류기간 머무는 목적 등 등을 알 수 있었습니다. I know about them. I know their age, family size and purpose of visit.

소통하는 보람을 느끼게되는 기분 좋은 순간들이 이어졌습니다. I was surprise about them.

그 후로 그들과 오후 시간에 한번씩 만나는 것이 When we meet every day we say our life.

일과중의 하나로 자리잡게 되었습니다. We became good friends.

 

 

내가 인도인들에게 관심을 갖는 것은 I am very interested to Indians.

인도의 델리 구르가온에 두어달 관광을 하고온 적이 있어서  I have ever been to India.

개략적이나마 인도에 대해서 알고 있기 때문입니다. I know about India.

인도의 하층민부터 상층민들이 살고 있는 모습이 I saw the everyday of Indians.

너무나 차이가 나는 것을 보고 왔었습니다. There is the Caste in India. I know India Caste.

그래서 그들과 대화를 할 수 있는 I dislike India Caste.

충분한 이야기 꺼리들이 많이 있기에 그런 감정을 갖습니다. India, the caste system is not equal.

 

 

어느날 그들이 갑자기 보이지 않습니다. one day, They haven't seen.

날마다 그들을 기다려 보았지만 흔적을 찾을 수 없습니다. I waited everyday but they didn't appeared.

그들이 살던 집을 몇차례 기웃거려보기도 했습니다. I visited their house and waited.

아마도 작별인사 없이 인도로 되돌아 간 것 같았습니다. They has gone to India without goodbye.

 

 

그후로 나에게 그들이 채워주던 빈자리 때문에 Some times they said to me his life.

누군가를 기다리는 심심한 오후를 보내야했던 일이 They has gone to India without goodbye then I was alone.

두해가 지난 지금도 Two years later,

허전함이 뚫린 가슴처럼 남아 있습니다. I was alone without them.

I have ever been to India.

I stayed two month in India.

Delhe was a lagest city in India.

India is a big country.

I saw many people and autorickshaw in Delhi.

I have many days for city tour in India.

Did you have ever been to Nepal?

Nepal have many big mountain.

I have ever been to Annapuruna tracking of foot.

Annapuruna tracking need to seven days.

I saw many India temple.

I was surprise at the Azanta cave temples and Elora cave temples.

I have two month of travel India.

I saw Diwalli festival.

Many Indian people enjoyed fireworks.

They enjoyed a festive day and night.

 

<미국에서 만난 인도인 래디 68세>

 

오늘 켄터키 아들, 며느리에게서 아쉬운 소식이 왔습니다. Today, my son said to me good news.

인도인 한 사람이 말 벗을 찾으려고 말은 걸어온다는 것입니다. one Indian look for his friend.

미국에 한가하게 머무를 당시에 내개 꼭 필요했던 사람인 것 같습니다. Make friend need to us.

영어도 조금 하면서 인도에 대한 이야깃 거리가 준비되어 있는.........He speak English well and have many India news

마치 내가 천국에서 친구를 찾으러 하는 것과 같은 모양입니다. same as, I am search for friend.

마을을 산책하면서 말을 걸어오는 그를 가끔씩 만난다고 합니다. He walks in the town.

 

그의 마음을 알만 합니다. I feel his heart.

부족함이 없을 것 같은 미국에서도 Happiest in American life

말 벗은 꼭 필요한 것 같습니다. We need friend for talk.

 

내가 머무르던 In kentuchy,

옆집 인도 부부, 소방관 부부, 교수님 부부도 잘 있다고 합니다. My neighbor is good life.

They are Indian couple, fireworks couple and professor couple.

미국에 가면 누군가와 소통하며 살고 싶었는데 If I visit in America I make my friend.

만남의 운이 없었는지 외로운 다섯달을 지내고 왔습니다. But I was alone for five months.

내가 한국에 돌아오니 인도인 친구가 외롭게 지내고 있다하여 one Indian search for his friend.

아쉬운 마음에 오늘 몇자 적어보았습니다. I write to him a letter.

 

외국에 나가면 제일 필요한 것이 If you go out to foreign countries then you need one.

의사소통할 수 있는 말 벗입니다. That is a good friend.

그래서 오늘도 영어 한마디 익히고 있습니다. So I study English a little bit everyday.

해외에 나가서 외롭지 않으려고 합니다. If I go out foreign countries then I have many friends for say.

 

친구는 노력하면 만들 수 있다. If you efforts then you meet foreigner friend.

내 친구는 세계 어느 곳에도 있을 수 있다. Friend is everywhere.

나는 누구와도 친구를 맺고 싶다. Anyway I want to make my friend.
