Finding A Way for underprivileged Students 가난한 학생들 돕는 길을  찾아

 

 

A small woman with a big heart found a way to deposit money to a savings account every month for underprivileged student.
너그러운 마음을 가진 한 작은 여성이 매달 어려운 학생들을 위해 저축 계좌에 돈을 예금하는 방법을 찾았다.

Lee Do-pil, an 80-year-old woman, donated ￦50 million to Child Fund Korea, Every month, Lee deposited opportunity to study.
여든살의 이도필 여사는 5,000만원을 초록우산 어린이재단에 기부하였다. 매달 이 여사는 8년동안 30만원을 예금하였다. 그녀의 사명은 가난한 학생들에게 공부할 기회를 주는 것이었다.

Lee’s father inspired her to donate money. Before he passed away. her father said, “You should help the underprivileged when you get to love in a great country.” Her father, Lee chal-su, was an independence leader who took the lead during the March 1st Movement. He was arrested several times, and he died in 1968 with the belief that great nations can save people.
이도필 여사의 아버지는 그녀가 돈을 기부하는 것에 영감을 주었다. 그가 사망하기 전에 “네가 위대한 나라에 살게 되면 어려운 학생들을 도와야 한다.”고 말했다. 그녀의 아버지인 이 찰수는 3.1운동 동안 선두에 선 독립운동 지도자였다. 그는 여러 차례 체포를 당했고 위대한 나라는 사람들을 살린다는 믿음을 가지고 1968년 사망했다.

Lee’s decision fulfills her father’s lifetime goal and is closely linked to her own experiences. Lee couldn’t lean Hangeul due to financial difficulties. She said “I achieved my lifetime wish. I set up a goal to donate ￦100 million to children who can’t finish their studies because of family circumstances.”
이도필 여사의 결정은 그녀의 아버지의 평생의 목표를 이루었고, 그녀 자신의 경험과도 매우 밀접하게 관련이 있다. 이 여사는 재정적인 어려움으로 한글을 배우지 못했다. 그녀는 “나는 제 평생의 소원을 이루었습니다. 저는 가정적인 어려움으로 인해 공부를 끝내지 못하는 아이들을 위해 1억을 기부하는 목표를 세웠습니다.” 라고 말했다.

A total of 20 students were each given ￦2.5 million on June 17. For 43 years, Lee lived alone and saved money by working many odd jobs from manual labor to kitchen work. For the past 15 years, Lee cleaned buildings so that she could keep her promise. Now, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs 국가보훈처 proved her with living expenses of ￦1.2 million every month.
총 20명의 학생들을 6월 17일에 각각 250만원을 받았습니다. 43년 동안 이도필 여사는 혼자 살았고, 육체노동과 부엌일과 같은 잡무를 하면서 돈을 저축했다. 지난 15년 동안, 이 여사는 그녀의 약속을 이룰 수 있도록 하기 위해 건물을 청소했다. 이제, 국가보훈처는 그녀에게 매달 120만원의 생활비를 제공해주고 있다.
